Welcome!

CS Church, Rome

Christian Science has been a part of the Rome religious community for over 100 years. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and adjacent Reading Room are located at 500 East First Street in historic Rome. Our members warmly invite you to learn about Christian Science and its element of spiritual healing by attending our services, enrolling your children in our Sunday School, and making use of our Reading Room.

The Church of Christ, Scientist is a worldwide movement founded in 1879 "to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing." (Church Manual, page 17). Our Rome Society is affiliated with The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts.
